Do we stop irrigating our dormant brown grass?
This time of year our customers are asking how to schedule their irrigation for the lawn. Can you cut back on water as the temperature cools? Yes. Should you stop irrigating? No. Every yard is different, but in alot of cases you can skip a week of watering as the temp continues to go down. Our best advise is to let your yard tell you when it is thirsty, then irrigate and develop a schedule. Just because your grass goes dormant and turns brown does not mean it is not in need of water. There is more going on than the eyes can see.. Merry Christmas!
