40% off Sod, what a deal right?

Surfing the web and riding the roads of Tampa Bay, I see google ads and yard signs for discount sod. As a sod grower we are well aware of the cost of turf grass and the associated cost to bring it to market. In our industry there is not much margin to have a drastically different price than the competition. So when you see a price that sounds too good to be true be leery.

If you are truly dealing with legitimate professional sod companies and as long as you are comparing apples to apples their pricing should not be drastically different. We would love to have a 40% off sale, but the bottom line is our margins just don’t allow it. Do your homework and don’t be fooled by the “fly by night companies.“
